Stjernen Hockey in Fredrikstad has for decades been one of the leading ice hockey clubs in Norway. Still, we believe that the best days are ahead of us. In 2023 or 2024 we will move into a new arena. Our ambition is to become the best youth department in Norway.
Stjernen is now searching for coaches for our oldest players for U18 and U21, about 50 players in total.
The coaches at U18 and U21 will have the main responsibility for planning and organizing all sports activities and development for these teams and players, both on and off the ice. This work will be done in collaboration with Stjernen Ung’s Sports Director – and coach and sports director of Stjernen’s A-team. The U18 and U21 coaches will report to the Sports Director at Stjernen Ung.
Main responsibilities:
- Planning and leading good training sessions.
- Planning and coordinating flow of potential players between U18 and U21.
- Strengthen the technical skills of each individual and the team.
- Strengthen the tactical understanding and skills of each individual and the team.
- Individual feedback to players and goal settings.
- Ensure that each individual can develop optimally, based on their potential, strengths and weaknesses.
- Make team selection and make sure that the team has the right squad in their matches.
- Prepare, make tactical plans and coach matches.
- Video analyzing and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Solid coaching education, and who has coaching experience with older players.
- A desire to develop good hockey players.
- Who has a burning commitment to youth.
- Who sees and has respect for the individual, and who builds a strong team together with the players through trust, unity and mutual respect.
- Who cultivates an entertaining, fast-paced and effective ice hockey by keeping the puck in the team.
- Winning mentality and leadership skills.
We are now looking for candidates for these coaching jobs. There could be possibilities to combine this assignment with coaching jobs on other teams in the club.
Wages in accordance with agreement.
