For several decades, Stjernen Hockey has been one of the most prominent hockey clubs in Norway. Now a new era is about to begin: In a few years, we are moving into Arena Fredrikstad and we aim to create what is going to be the leading junior hockey department in Norway. In partnership with Wang Toppidrett we are now looking for one or several competent persons with high ambitions for the following position(s):
- Sports director Stjernen Hockey junior league
- Wang Toppidrett coach
- U20 coach
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid sports education and extensive experience in hockey coaching and player development
- Documented results and strong instructional skills with the ability to create a fun and safe learning environment for children and youths
- Systematic, thorough, responsible and enthusiastic
- Ability to build relations and a good communicator
- Credible and able to create trust and positive attitudes

Stjernen Hockey Junior, with its more than 200 active players from 7-20 years, is a club where all members shall be given the opportunity to develop individual skills. Friendship, respect, joy and wellbeing are among our core values.
In Stjernen we aim to build good people and talented hockey players. We are playing entertaining, fast and efficient hockey by keeping the puck within the team, combined with excellent skate skills and smart technical and tactic characteristics
Stjernen Hockey is cooperating with WANG Toppidrett, a high school in Fredrikstad city centre, which uses the sport facilities in Stjernehallen. Stjernen Hockey and Wang Toppidrett are therefore jointly searching for a coach and sports director that can follow our players/students on a daily basis and take charge in leading the rest of the coaches in the club.
WANG is a Toppidrettsgymnas offering general studies along with top athletic commitment. We have schools in five Norwegian cities Oslo, Stavanger, Tønsberg, Hamar and Fredrikstad. There are a total program of 26 sports and there are a total of 150 coaches linked to these five schools. All WANG Top, sports schools is approved as Toppidrettsgymnas of Olympiatoppen / NOC at current quality criteria. As a result of collaboration with Olympiatoppen through many years, WANG Toppidrett built its sports philosophy at the Norwegian model for elite sport. It places the athlete at the center and involves systematic work with regard to goals, learning, training and achievements. We seek to create a culture that prepares students for a future career elite sport where the athlete takes responsibility for their own development, and where the athlete’s main supporters is incorporated into the work.
